Why Rocket Yoga Rocks?
Rocket yoga, the original power yoga, is a dynamic and fast-paced style of yoga that combines traditional Ashtanga yoga with elements of creative Vinyasa yoga flow. Developed by a person named Larry Schultz, who has spent seven years studying Ashtanga under its founder – Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, rocket yoga is a more accessible form of Ashtanga yoga for practitioners outside India. It was first seen in the 1980s, now it is practised by hundreds of thousands of yogis worldwide.

Three categories of Rocket Yoga
It is divided into three sequences based on Ashtanga Vinyasa. They are:
Rocket I: Like the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga, Rocket I focuses on hip openers, forward bends, and core strength.
Rocket II: Based on the second series of Ashtanga Yoga, Rocket II made some modifications, consisting of backbend techniques and spinal twists of seated poses of the Ashtanga intermediate series that complement Rocket I well.
Rocket III: Bringing together the poses of the previous two sequences, Rocket III includes all the twists, folds, and balances to help you build strength and flexibility.
Typical structure of Rocket Yoga Flow
It is a perfect combo of tempo and sequence. There are plenty of ways to modify or adjust the classic yoga poses, to make it appropriate for all levels of practicers. However, the typical rocket class contains three parts:
Warm up: Surya Namaskar A and B (Sun salutation B has two more poses than sun salutation A)
Middle part: the standing poses, seated poses, twists, and bends.
Ending: the traditional closing series
